Level 3: Core Support

While working on Level 3 issues, a great place to start is by earnestly listening to what the people closest to you are saying.

Active Listening Enhances Relationships

For most people, it’s a lot easier to talk than to listen. This may be particularly true for gifted and enlightened individuals, who have a ton of ideas and reactions that they are very enthusiastic about sharing. I consider myself lucky to have wonderful active listeners in my life, and I do my best to show them the same consideration. It’s not always easy, but like everything else, the more we apply our active listening skills, the more it becomes second to our nature. Active listening should be our default listening style in all our human interactions, but it is especially important at the level of Core Support (Level 3).
