Spiritual balance is two-fold. It’s about finding a fruitful spiritual pathway that is in harmony with one's values, beliefs system, lifestyle, and needs. It’s also about balancing this pathway with our physical and mental lives.
A person can cultivate spiritual balance through religious activities, such as praying or attending services, or by engaging in other practices, like keeping a journal or listening to worship music. A person's experiences (or lack thereof) with religion and spirituality will impact his or her mental health.
A lot of people know the healing power of spiritual committment and some become heavily and overtly involved, sometimes to the neglect of other physically or mentally healthy activities.
