We often hear people say silly things like “we only use 10% of our brains” but that is just a popular, but very false, myth. The fact is that, if we think about the brain in a functional way, we can only identify about 10% of the functional regions of the brain. In other words, we have almost no clue how the vast majority of the brain really works, what it does, or how it does it. It’s not that we only use 10% of our brain; it’s more like, we can only map out 10% of the functional regions. It’s very likely that we use pretty close to 100% of our brains, just like our bodies seek to employ 100% of our other organs.
