Scrolling down the YouTube app yesterday I found this, I knew I would find something.
I agree with Chris’ interpretation about Schopenhauer, that the world is a combination of will and representation.
There was an awkward moment when Kastrup said nature is free and we are determined by nature because although we know free will exists it’s not clear if it belongs exclusively to the Universe or to man as well, I mean there’s no absolute certainty that we possess it in any immediate sense. Chris did a good job explaining this awkward preposition saying that in his approach he looks for what we can say about the properties of reality, in other words I think Chris goes with the good reasons for believing that we do possess free will. I’m of the same persuasion, I like to feel that my thoughts influence reality and even create it.
One thing Chris said about keeping homeostasis in the brain, yes it’s important to be able to feel at ease yet this doesn’t necessarily mean we can’t use our minds to effect positive changes in our lives. I’ll give an example in my own case and I hope I’m right about this, that I need to work on my language centres and strengthen them and then maintain them so I read and talk to people and generally try to enhance my language centres as much as possible, which in time once I have reversed the atrophy due to my not using them as much which cost me my mental health, once reversed and strengthened I will be free from mental illness. What with the lessons I’ve learned and the amount of effort I’ve put into strengthening those centres I might even be capable of exceptional clarity of language use and interesting dialogues with like minded people. There’s my hope shining through, I see the way to a cure and am full steam ahead.
Profoundly brilliant trisections, with amplified energy projected by Chris in the sowing of seeds of the promise that the CTMU is THE T.O.E., no exceptions. We shall see if the soil produces any fruit amongst the podcast host and his redundant- style rhetorical closed-minded other guest. I was chomping at the bit. God is the Alpha and the Omega. Period. We do not “stop” our work until the Finisher of our faith proclaims, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Chris showed once again that the malaise of academia is rooted in the removal of the Triune God from the minds of mere men claiming to espouse “surrender of soul/ego” and to flit about on their “arrival” in the philosophical world. How “painless and freeing” they must feel - when in fact, their Nirvana-hungry souls will come undone by a Babushka Doll - style removal of layers upon layers. May God reach their souls. Chris, God is smiling upon you.
