What is Intelligent Design?

I am an evolutionary theorist. I am not an evolutionary theorist because I have a college degree in evolutionary biology; I am an evolutionary theorist because I am a reality theorist, and evolution is a key part of reality. Yet, I have also been called an Intelligent Design advocate, mainly on the strength of a single ID-related affiliation and the fact that I credit God with creating the universe.
