The Body and Blood of Christ: An Official Miracle
The Vatican Approves 2013 Eucharistic Miracle in Karala, India
The Vatican has approved a Eucharistic miracle at a Catholic church in the Indian state of Manipur. It joins a handful of church-recognized miracles worldwide that have undergone scientific examination, including those in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Tixtla, Mexico; and Legnica and Sokolka, Poland. For a miracle to be recognized, it must have passed rigorous scientific analysis. This means a team of scientists must certify its composition and authenticity, including that the chain of custody remained intact and that no preservatives were used.1
